Description
One of the most prolific blooming azaleas of all time, ‘Coral Bells’ is a low to medium growing evergreen azalea that produces a massive explosion of coral-pink hose in hose flowers in spring that nearly cover the attractive green foliage. Every flower has dark pink centers which make the spring flowering show even more amazing. The flowers are small (1″) but what they lack in size they make up for in sheer number!
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing in a rounded mound 3 to 4 feet tall and 4 to 5 feet wide, Coral Bells Azalea is ideal for use as an accent, in groupings or mass plantings, or as a low hedge in partially shaded landscape borders, woodland gardens, and home foundation plantings. Blooming branches serve very well for cutting to create stunning indoor floral arrangements. A fine addition to azalea gardens, pink theme gardens, Asian theme gardens and cottage gardens.
Suggested Spacing: 3 feet apart for solid hedges; 6 feet or more apart for space between plants

Note: For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 6a, where this Azalea variety is not winter hardy outdoors, you can enjoy growing it in containers that can be moved indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.
Growing Preferences
Evergreen Azaleas are easy to grow when planted right and in the right spot. They prefer a moist but well-drained and acidic soil that is rich in organic matter and part sun. Morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sun is ideal. Azaleas do not like wet feet so avoid planting them in sites where soil stays constantly soggy or wet. Moderate drought tolerance when established.

I was thoroughly pleased with the 2-gallon Coral Bells Azalea I received from Wilson Bros Gardens. It arrived on time in good shape and was an absolutely beautiful plant that exceeded my expectations. I had never bought plants on line before, and worried because of reviews I had seen of some other sellers (plants dead on arrival, etc). I had to try this time because I needed this specific azalea and in 2 years I had not been able to find this plant locally. I am very pleased to say my fears were unfounded in this case.
